6 Non-Tourist Things To Do When Visiting Los Angeles

Things To Do When Visiting LA Los Angeles

Hike Through Griffith Park

If you’re looking to stretch your legs and get some exercise, Griffith Park is the perfect place. It’s free and open to the public, and there are a variety of trails and scenery for any hiker.

Griffith Park is also home to a merry-go-round, which can be enjoyed by children and adults alike. The merry-go-round features beautifully painted animals in every corner of the ride, tigers, elephants, birds, and more!

When you’re done hiking or riding the carousel at Griffith Park, check out the nearby Los Angeles Zoo! Or visit one of many other attractions within walking distance from this beautiful park: Hollywood sign; Greek Theatre; Runyon Canyon; Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).

Eat Tacos At Tacos Punta Cabras

Address: 2311 Santa Monica Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90404, United States

This place is a bit of an institution in Hollywood and for good reason. It’s not just the best tacos in Los Angeles; it’s also the best in the world, and possibly even more than that, you know if you’re into really good things. They have a bunch of different types of tacos here. You should get that one if you want to try something new.

If possible, try to get here early because they sometimes sell out by noon! Also: don’t forget your cash when coming here because they don’t accept credit cards (although they have an ATM on-site).

Go Bar Hopping In Hollywood

Hollywood is a great place to go bar hopping, especially if you’re in town alone. There are tons of bars to choose from, and most of them are open late. Even if you do not live in Hollywood, there’s nothing wrong with coming here just for the nightlife.

If you’re visiting LA for the first time or have been living here for years but never really got into bar culture, this guide will teach you how to get started on your own journey! The good news? It’s easy as pie!

Catch A Show At The Groundlings Theater

Address: 7307 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046, United States

The Groundlings Theater is a comedy troupe and school known for its improv style of comedy. The theater has been around since 1974 and is constantly hosting workshops and shows where you can watch the next generation of Hollywood’s funniest up-and-comers hone their craft.

The Groundlings Theater is located in Hollywood at 7307 Melrose Avenue. Tickets range from $13-$32 depending on the show, so this might be an option if you want to catch a comedy show without breaking the bank.

Walk Along Venice Beach Boardwalk

Address: Beach Pavillion in Los Angeles, CA, United States

As you walk along the beach, you’ll be able to see beautiful views of the ocean. You can also enjoy people-watching, shopping, and dining while taking in the sights and sounds of Venice Beach.

There are lots of people on the boardwalk that are there for different reasons. Some come here to hang out with friends or family members, while others want to show off their body art or enjoy themselves at one of many events on this strip every day.

This is an excellent place for walking since there aren’t any cars driving around, so it’s safer than some other areas where cars are allowed to drive more freely.

There are lots of places where you can eat while on vacation!! Plenty of restaurants along Abbot Kinney Boulevard offer everything from fast-food chains up to fine dining restaurants such as Nobu Restaurant & Bar located right next door.

Take In The View From Runyon Canyon Park

Address: 2000 N Fuller Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046, United States

Runyon Canyon Park is a great place to get some fresh air, enjoy the city’s view, and do some hiking. It’s also an excellent place to have a picnic.

Several hiking trails go throughout Runyon Canyon Park, but they can be quite crowded with locals who come here daily for their workouts. If you want to get away from all these people, head up Laurel Canyon Blvd until you reach Mulholland Dr., where there’s another trailhead leading up into Runyon Canyon Park. This trail is less trafficked and gives you an opportunity for some peace and quiet as well as some spectacular views of Los Angeles!

A is a city that’s full of surprises. There are so many things to do and see, and you don’t need to spend all your time taking selfies at famous landmarks or checking out Hollywood Boulevard. Visitors can experience great food, entertainment, and outdoor activities. Whether you are visiting Los Angeles as a tourist or just living here, there are many things to do in Los Angeles that will make your trip memorable.
